California Driver License Font Type
For the bigger type, see Penitentiary Gothic, “a digital recreation of the letters used on California state license plates, designed in order to make props for movies and television shows.” The typeface pages have links to sources where you can purchase a font license.
The age you can get your drivers license in California is 16. You are however required to go through 6 hours of driving training to obtain your license. The fonts are wrong, and I'm missing the 'DMV' in. So I got bored these past few days, fired up GIMP, and made this template of a CA Driver's License. That type of discussion is beyond the scope of this board, though.
